I figured it was from the amoxicillin and we took him to the doctor. The doctor agreed he still had the ear infection so we took him off the amoxicillin and they gave him a shot for the ear infection. Gavin was not happy about the shot and never wanted to go to the doctor again. Two days later, he had to have a physical to make sure he was ready for surgery. Gavin didn’t want to go to the doctor again because he didn’t want a shot. I assured him he was not getting a shot today. Little did I know they had to take blood. He screamed and pulled away making it hard for the nurse to get the blood. Next, he had to get a shot for a skin test. The nurse and I had to hold him down so she was able to give him the shot. As far as I know, he is healthy and ready for surgery, but not wanting to see a doctor again as he puts it. The closer I get the more nervous I get. I am sure he will be fine, but I worry about the after math of dealing with a sick whiney child. They said some kids feel better after a couple of days and some take two weeks. I am planning on him being a pain for at least two weeks. We are not supposed to leave the house for a week and not have him be physically active for two weeks. It will be really fun at my house if you want to come and play.I have so many pictures and more posts to do but don’t have the time. I am in this horrible U.S. Constitution class, which I hate and complain about every day. On a happy note Brody is so adorable and my lovable, huggable baby. It’s kind of funny he says so many words but will not say mom or dad. If you ask him to say it he will look at the person you say but will not actually say the word; however, he will say Grandpa. I will post more when I find time. We have been camping with the Plastow’s, swimming, and planning a swimming party for Monday at Mike and Amy’s. Trying to get everything fun in before the surgery, so if I ever find the time I will post more.

Sounds awful! Poor Gavin!! I don't blame him for not wanting to go to the doctor again! I'll be thinking of you guys Tuesday. Call me if you need to talk while you're waiting and waiting in the hospital!
Good luck Gavin! I bet he will feel so much better once it is all said and done :) As far as the constitution class... well I just had flash backs to our first semester of college LOL.
poor little buddy! That is so sad! Hopefully after all of this he will feel much better and wont get sick anymore! Good luck!
We'll pray for him, and you.
So sad. I hate having sick kids...even worse, taking them to the doctor. Best of luck.
Sorry to hear about the surgery. I hope the recovery is quicker than 2 weeks, especially with a hard class this semester. Good luck!
Of course you are nervous, its your child going into surgery. Surgery is surgery! He will be blessed. Our family will keep you all in our prayers. If you need any help, let us know. Meals, babysitting?! Serious, I am here.
