Waiting List for Edu-Prize Charter School

I put Gavin on the waiting list for Edu-prize charter school. Amy was sad because I decided to put them in this school instead of Benjamin Franklin charter school where her kids go. I like that Edu-prize is closer than and not as strict as Benjamin. The hours are wonderful he will probably be in my top choice of the morning schedule because he is on the waiting list 3 years early. School schedule is 7:30-12:15 the reason because they don’t have school lunch which is great I would rather feed him at home so he actually eats the food instead of just throwing it away and one less recess. I think this is so wonderful they can come home get home work finished still have time for sports programs and actually spend time at home. I talked to receptionist about doing my observation for my education class. The principle called me later and told me what I need to do for that and said to fill out an application for next year teaching. I had to tell them I still have two more years in school so maybe next year I could fill out an application for the next year. I think only teaching 5 hours is so much better I hope to get an in with the school. The afternoon schedule is 11-4. Next time I go in, I am going to ask about doing volunteering. I am sure Grammy and Grandad Parker will not want to hear future plans about still living far away. So, plans can still change but I would rather be prepared incase we stay.

Take kids or not?

Do we take the kids on a paid private jet plane to Wyoming full of horse back riding and snow mobiling and other adult activities or go on a fun weekend trip with just my husband? It would be fun for just us but also fun for the kids. It is in February. What do you think?

This is our Halloween Costumes for the year. I love to take pictures of my cute boys. Dad was hitting the ground to get Brody's attention so then Brody needed to do the same.

Zoo Fun

Went to BOO at the ZOO and had lots of fun. We brought along Emily, cousin Cloie and Keagan. The kids had fun and got really tired.

Cute Brody and Chris waiting patiently for us.

Brody playing in the water and animals playing with pumpkins.

Kids playing in the water. Keagan liked to dance in the water. Fun to watch.

Gavin as a goat. Brody as a Lion

We caught a bug in the web! Gavin liked to pretend he was an "itsy bitsy spider" and get keagan.

Emily is always such a wonderful big help with the kids! She is why I knew we could handle bringing two more kids with us.
Brody playing in the water. They have a new water play area, they added a few new things to the zoo attraction from last time we went.

Brody 9 Months

Brody went to the doctor today. He is 75% for both height and weight.
He is 22 lbs I think he has lost 2 lbs from the last I checked. He is 28" in length.
Still easy and happy, we will keep him around. Does anyone want Gavin though? Gavin was nice enough to wake up 6 times last night screaming and then still got up at 5:00 got sent back to bed then got up at 7:00. So does that count for 7 times up at night or is 5:00 considered morning? Does he need to go to a sleep specialist or will he grow out of this adventually?

Phoenix Zoo

We renewed our membership to Phoenix Zoo. If anyone wants to go with me just let Gavin and I know we are always happy to go. I can take 2 more adults if we go without Chris and 3 more kids over three years and under two is free.

Day Event

Why is it in Arizona the smallest tasks take all day? When we bought the car, they said they would fix a couple small problems and I just need to bring it in later when the service department was in. I called and made an appointment for 9:30 as I was driving there the check engine light came on and so that was lucky so they could check that at the same time. Anyway, back to my story at 1:00 they came and told me that they figured out what was wrong with the check engine light but didn’t have the part or any of the other parts they were planning on fixing. They were now sending the car to get the windows re-tinted. So 3.5 hours later they figure out that they do not have the parts to fix and haven’t even started on the tinting. Two hours later they come back and ask how patient I am I say “not very” well they found the parts and asked if I wanted to wait while they fixed the problems. I said, “sure” I don’t want to be wasting another day waiting around. Well I am writing and it is almost 4:00 now. I still haven’t heard if they are done yet. That is 6.5 hours later who knows how much longer. I was lucky I brought some things to do homework and a book. But really waiting 6.5 hours if I would have known it would have taken this long I would have just left the car for the day. However, then it probably would have taken 3 days to get fixed if I wasn’t sitting here waiting. I want to know why everything takes so long to do.

New Car

We bought a new car. I know we said we would wait a year, but those who know me, know I cannot wait. We went looking for an SUV we were thinking of the Honda Pilot or Nissan Pathfinder. However, I did not end up liking either. The Honda back seat was small and the Pathfinder you had to climb over the middle seat to get to the back. The sales guy showed us the Chrysler Pacifica. Chris loves it, I tell him it looks like a little mini van, (which he refuses to buy a mini van) but he says it looks like an SUV. It is considered a crossover a cross between a car and a suv. It has higher miles than I wanted but was an excellent price it is a 2004. We had looked at an 2006 and was double the price.

Things I don’t love-
The color is not my favorite
The trunk space is not very big

Things we like about the car-
6 passenger
3.5L V6
Easy to get kids in and out
Roomy inside
Good gas millage
A million buttons for Chris to play with
Excellent safety features: air bags all around and excels in all crash situation.
Power and automatic everything
6 disk DVD player excellent for long rides with Gavin
Navigation system now I hopefully will not get lost.

Craig and I planted winter grass, this is my first year doing so, in 2 weeks it should look fabulous. It sure felt like a lot of work to do every year it better look good.

Brody loves bath time so I had to take a picture. He doesn't care that he splashes all over his face.

The pictures below is of Gavin and Brody in the same outfit. Grammy Parker bought Gavin this cute top for his first birthday. I loved it and thought it was so cute and couldn't wait to put Brody in it. It finally was getting cool enough that he could wear it and now it almost doesn't fit. I am pretty sure that Gavin was able to wear it for awaile. Maybe Brody will get thinner soon.

This picture is of my parents house they bought. It will be done in December so we get the joy of having them here for a couple of more months. I am sure they will be overly ready to go when it is done with Gavin keeping them up all hours of the night.

THANKS FAMILY - We Love You

Christmas Shopping Done!

We finished our Christmas shopping. It is so nice to be done!! Chris and I decided to do Christmas different this year. A few people in the family know the rest will know now. I have wanted to do Christmas this way for a few years now and just have not done it yet. This year we decided to give to charities instead of doing gifts. So for all our family including ourselves and the kids we gave to different charities. We picked five different charities to give to, from each of the family’s gift sacrifice. We will surprise you at Christmas what charity we gave to, for you, and include what Thank You they gave you. For Gavin and Brody we have not decided yet if we will buy them a small toy or just do stockings but we want to try and keep the true meaning of Christmas in our hearts this year.

So a special thanks to all our family members. We Love You!

After Christmas I will blog the five charities we gave to.

Pictures

Can you get in more trouble when in Time Out? You can if you have stashed eye shadow in your pocket, put it all over your face and crush on the floor and rug. Gavin thought he looked "pretty" what do you think?

I gave Brody a sucker for the first time, he sure liked it. I will just add to his chub. Poor Gavin I wouldn't let him have any sugar until he was a year. Pictures of the farm. The only thing that I thought was cool at the farm was the calf that was born that night.
This calf was 3 weeks old.
If you can tell in the pictures Brody didn't like to be near any of the animals.

Vote Cut Hair or Not

We are having a vote if we should cute Brody's hair now or wait. Chris wants it cut he thinks it looks like a girl. I think it is so cute and it is starting to go curly and I can't get myself to cut it yet. It doesn't always stick out like that last picture.

We went to a farm today I will post about that later. I will just give a hint we could see a farm like that by Grammy and Grandad Parkers house. Being able to walk over and not stand in a line.

Best Babysitter Award goes to Helena

Let me know if you need a baby sitter and I can pencil you in my calendar. My calendar fills fast so make sure you give me plenty of notice.
Today I watched my niece Cloie and nephew Kyler along with Gavin and Brody. Not sure why Amy ever wants me to watch her kids because she usually returns with shock on her face.
The story begins with the kids playing nicely in the back yard. Brody was ready for a nap so I tell them to be good while I feed Brody and put him down. This is what I return to

Kids in the mud I salvage what clothes are not muddy and let them continue playing. Not long later Amy returns. She says she doesn’t care that her kids always end up wet, naked or we can add to the list muddy when they are under my care. She claims she just appreciates me watching them. I am not sure though what do you think?

After they are finished playing we get them cleaned up and changed. Amy and I are talking inside I ask if Gavin and Cloie are being good outside and Amy finds them outside playing in the mud. Can you keep kids out of the mud? I only bring so many pairs of underwear with me. Lucky I had grabbed another pair as I walked out the door and Amy had given me clothes that were too little for Kyler so he was able to get dressed again.
