Well I really have no idea how Gavin is doing in school. He still wants to go, which is great, but he doesn't say much about his day. When he comes home I ask, how it was, he says "good" when I ask, what he did, he says "nothing" when I ask, if he does gym, singing, or play outside, he says "no" or "I don't know". The only thing he has acutally told me is that "I am learning how to be good". Today Brody wanted to go to school again and Gavin said "Don't worry Brody it's not fun you have to sit in a desk all day" I couldn't tell if he was trying to make Brody feel better or if he really just thinks he sits in a desk all day. So now you know as much as I do. I really want to go help in the classroom so I can actually see what he does.
P.S. I decided to put the blog private so if you want to continue to see and read about the family write me a comment with your e-mail. I have lots of people's e-mail, but if you think I might not have or you can't get on next week let me know.

First Day of School
Yea!! Gavin and I have been so excited for school to start (no tears). We have been impatiently waiting. We went and meet Mrs. Bono on Monday filled out lots of paper work, got a carpool lane pass, and walked around the whole school. Gavin didn't want to leave the classroom. He made a friend with a little boy name Michael got to draw on the board and play with puppets. He was assigned homework before school even started. They had to decorate their shirt and add a photo, Gavin loves art so that was easy. Also the day before school he wanted to get his snacks and water bottle ready for school. I tried to get him to wait until today, but he was insistent. This is Gavin ready for school at 9:00 am. School doesn't start until 12:00 pm. He picked out his clothes and I asked if he liked gray and he says he loves it. I tried to get him to pick the cute green and gray backpack, but he wanted the gray one.
Brody wanted to get ready for school also. He cried when he found out he didn't get to go to school with Gavin.

Pioneer Day
Our ward did a pioneer celebration activity. I think it was a success. I am still on the committee, but wasn't able to help much with this activity. I will explain more later.
Gavin had a blast with everything. He did the tug-a-war, water balloon relay, water balloon toss (ended up just throwing balloons at dad, his favorite part if you ask), bike parade (he thought it was a race was mad he lost) and a fire truck was supposed to come but we couldn't stay.

Grandma got to hold sleeping Paris.
So I signed up to give blood which was at the stake center the same place the activity was at. I signed up right when it started and was quick enough to be the first one there and the first one done. I went outside and watched Gavin do the relay races and then took Brody to the bathroom. While I was in the bathroom and I so light headed I had to lay down on the floor. I was seriously going to pass out, which is not a first. Luckily a lady was in there with us and got a person from the blood donation and took Brody out to Grandma and Grandpa. The blood lady made me go back in and check vitals and lay in their chair so they could watch me. After all that they walked me to my car and told Chris he had to take me home. I was sad the kids were going to miss the fire truck. So this is my record for giving blood. Try number one passed out right after giving blood, but still in the chair. Second try got a blood clot had to change arms and they only let you give half as much. Third time almost pass out. My record is not good and Chris told me I am no longer allowed to give blood. Even if it means I could save a life. After I went home and took a two hour nap when I got up I was still light headed. So I have been lazy all day.
My only picture and 15 minutes joining the activity.
Oh so Brody has been potty training this month. Well he has been teaching himself. He just decided that he wanted to start using the potty. I have not been pushing it and put a diaper on him when I feel like it, which he will take off if he feels like going. If I leave him naked at home he will go all day and not have any accidents. If I put on a diaper or underwear he will not go on the potty every time, just most the time. So if we are not going anyplace we just have a naked boy running around, and according to Brody you can't wear a shirt to potty train. So far he has been so much easier to potty train than Gavin. I started Gavin at 2.5 years and worked so hard to teach him and he didn't get it until 3. Brody I was going to wait until 3, but at 2.5 years he wants to teach himself.

Random Things
Monsoon Season
I still think it if funny what Arizona calls monsoon season. They put warnings on the TV and everything for five minutes of rain. Anyway he had what Arizona calls a monsoon so the boys wanted to go out and play. This was the first day in weeks that it hasn't been 115. It was under 90 and Brody was dripping wet. Not from the rain because it had stopped by the time we got our bikes ready, but from sweat. It was so humid and Brody is a sweaty boy. They had fun for the hour we were able to play outside. This next week is supposed to have more rain and be a little cooler so that will be nice.Friday, July 23, 2010

Rest of Utah Trip
This was at Blue Bird restaurant right before Gavin decided to eat a roll and throw it up. Then Brody decided he would watch and then throw up his roll. Chris and I were lucky enough to be sitting by them catching it and then I got to be the one to strip them down and wash their shirts. Symony and I couldn't stop laughing. I think most lose their appetite by time dinner came. We had to go and buy them new shirts after.
Sym brought fun popper fireworks for the kids until Logan fireworks started. What a nice aunt.
Brody thought he was so good being able to throw the ball backwards.
Still waiting for the fireworks.

Symony made Paris a Tu-Tu
Grammy and Grandad took all the Parkers out for lunch after pictures. Thank You!
Brody feel asleep waiting for the car show.
Gavin loved watching the "Hot Wheels" and especially loved showing Keagan the funny ones.

The car ride home wasn't killer the kids sleep more that ride, but i still hate driving places. This time we stopped when Paris needed to eat because on the ride there she wouldn't eat in the car. It made for a better but longer trip.

Things I didn't get pictures of Josh doing illegal fireworks. One malfunctioned and flew into the tree we were sitting under. Brody missed the action because he went to bed before they started. I forgot to mention Paris got her ears pierced. Sym and Chris were nice enough to let me not watch. You can see her cute earrings in the earlier post.
