May-May

We have a new addition to the family. We finally gave in to Gavin's constant asking of a pet. Gavin has named his new, girl pet hamster May-May (not sure how he came up with it). We asked if he named her after Grandma and he says yes. So far Gavin does not leave the poor thing alone. We figured a hamster was perfect because he wanted a dog little to hold in his hands that he could carry around. I think a hamster will be easier than a dog.We have the cage on the floor so the kids can watch May-May. Paris thinks it is funny to bang on the cage. They say that hamsters are nocturnal, but I don't think May-May will get much sleep during the day, she may be tired at night. Brody of course is scared. He will get kind of close if May-May is in her ball or cage. Brody will yell at Gavin to put her back in the cage. So far Brody has touched her twice with his finger. Gavin had to sleep by May-May tonight.
