California 2011

Wow where does the time go? We went to California last week for a week. We arrived Saturday Oct the 1st and stayed until Saturday the 8th. It was so much fun we enjoyed spending time with family vacationing. The pictures are not in order for the correct days.

The cousins included Gavin (6) Remi (4) Hudson (1) Kaleb (4) Eliza (2) Paris (1) Cheyane (3) Brody (3).

It is not a vacation without at least one of us not feeling well. Paris was a little stinker most of the trip. She didn't feel well and cried lots and was clingy.

Brody got a little sick also, but really only effected him about a day.
On Friday we went to the Beach. I wasn't really wanting to go to the beach, but it ended up being so much fun! Brody liked playing in the sand. Paris loved chasing the birds and pointing at them. Gavin LOVED finding shells on the beach with Aunt Symony. We went to lunch at a Hamburger place on the pier.

Funny this Pelican was sitting on the pier and I told the boys to go stand by it and get their picture taken. Gavin goes over and doesn't see or know what we are talking about and his head runs right into the pelicans butt. We all got a good laugh then Gavin didn't want to get his picture after running into the thing.

On Monday we went to Lego Land. I was sadly not as impressed as I thought I would be. The kids and I do not like standing in lines and we had to do that a lot. They did have fun at the water area. Also like shooting people with water with Uncle Josh at one of the rides.

On Thursday everyone but us went to Sea World. I asked the kids if they wanted to go to Sea World or stay at the rental house and Swim. Both boys wanted to stay and swim. Brody wished later that he would have went, but they loved swimming most the day. Later that night we did a fire and cooked hot dogs. The kids love fire.

On Sunday Grandma planned a wonderful Family Night with everyone having to participate. It was fun seeing everyone talents.

A picture that Paris was happy on occasion on vacation. The boys wanted to swim all the time. One day I was in the pool three different times with them. Then Chris and I started to trade off turns so we were not in the pool/hot tub all day with them.

It was so nice to relax and enjoy the vacation we didn't want to return and the boys continue to ask me when we can go back to the "California House". Thanks mom and dad for the awesome vacation.
