December Catch Up

Ward Christmas Party

I got to help with the Ward Christmas Party this year. I said in the meeting we wanted to do the Nativity with the Primary kids. I found a nativity program online, then the Bishop gave me one they used last year during sacrament. Then I decided I didn't want to do that one because it was deaper than I wanted for the kids. So last week I changed it to one Mom had and edited with the songs we wanted and slightly shortened it. We had 22 kids sign up and then a bunch ask me before we started if they could be in the play. I think we ended with 40 kids which was so great for the singing they did. I told the parents to bring their own kids costumes and then Jeri brought a bunch of extra, everyone got to dress up so that was fun. Gavin was sick so Grandma offered to stay home with him so the rest of us could go.
We also did a Christmas tree lane. Every organization was in charge of decorating a tree for the party. For primary I wanted every kid to make a decoration for the tree. I am sad I didn't get a picture. I asked each teacher if they would be in charge of having each child make a ornament for the tree. They came up with some great ones. One teacher did a stable with baby jesus out of sticks and foam, Gavin class made snowmen, nursery did stars that they glued on glitter, another class did lightbulb reindeer, foam circle bulbs with stickers, one class did reindeer out of clothes pins. Each class also made paper snowflakes to hang around the gym. It was so cute. I got released from primary secretary two weeks ago, but happy they let me still help with the Christmas Party.

Paris likes to have her blanket on her head even when she is sleeping. Funny girl.
Chris hunting trip actually this was November. He got a bobcat. The boys thought it was cool, but Brody wouldn't touch it.

Mike and the kids all came to see, along with Grammy and Grandad.

Brody loves his hampster. He wanted her in his pocket. I am sure the hampster does not like Brody.

Paris has pulled the tree down twice so far. So pulls on the ornaments a little hard. The star on top is broken now.
She also does not like to wear pants. She knows how to pull them off.
We had our last soccer game. The kids got a trophy.
Top: Helena (Coach), Josiah, Dayson, Jen (Assistant Coach)
Bottom: Ethan, Brody, Bella, Benji
They were all very good and had a great time playing.
Brody loves to sit with Grandpa and wait for his turn to play. Sometimes it was hard to get him to come out and play.
