Soccer Spring 2012

We finished our soccer season, kind of glad it is over. Especially with it being 100 outside trying to practice. Gavin team was a lot of fun and rather enjoyed them being good at playing soccer. Plus they had a great time winning all their games. Gavin loved playing forward and scored 2-3 goals a game. Gavin just wasn't very good at drinking his water. After 2 games and 1 practice he was very sick from heat stroke that took him until the next day to recover. The last game I made sure he drank lots of water.

Brody team is a hard age. Brody didn't want to play in the games. But he did like practice a loved to play at the park after with his friend Benji who is to the right of Brody.

On to the next thing. Gavin wants to be a bike rider, and I am encouraging that sport. We are getting him a new bike and Brody is getting his old one. I was going to get Brody a new bike because Gavin doesn't really need a new one. But at the store he wanted the same size he already had because they had bags on them. The only bigger one he wanted was the same one Gavin has, so I figured if he wanted the same one, I just as well get Gavin a better bike.  By our house a lot of kids bike in the dirt hills so I told Gavin once he gets really good he can start going on the little dirt jumps also. So Gavin is excited to do more biking. We are going to take a break from organized sports and hopefully get more family time instead of running everyplace all the time. They can do things that get good exercise and have it be a family thing.
