Sleeping Babe

Gavin is such a funny little boy. I had found a toy box in the scrapbooking room that I just had a few things in so I thought I just as well put it in Gavin's room and use. Which I am not sure if it was a good idea or not guess we will see.
Anyway, the other night Chris found Gavin asleep in the box he took pictures and showed me it was so great. Chris said he was using one blanket as a pillow and one to put on his legs. You would think he would just sleep in his nice bed. Chris said he picked him up to put him in his bed and he just opened his eyes and smiled and went to sleep in his bed. He also likes to turn his light on and go back to bed he already has a night light you wouldn’t think he would need to turn his light on also.

Jessica wanted to know what we did for new years. Well Grandma and Grandpa Barrett were here so we played Hearts, which I lost both times. I don’t even remember who did win but it wasn’t me. And then we went to bed early. Grandma and Grandpa had to get up early to drive home and well why waste good sleeping time so I made Chris go to bed early with me. I didn’t have Craig there that next morning to get up with Gavin but I guess Chris did so I probably could have stayed up but I like my sleep.

We bought a new King size bed I am so excited I will actually have enough room to sleep. I need my space. So now guest that come will actually have a nice bed to sleep on instead of the air mattress that doesn’t keep air. I have been working on getting the room organized so the bed will fit but I get tired on can only work on it for a few minutes before I need to sit down. I hate being pregnant.

Talking about pregnant we are getting close only 3 more weeks. Went to the doctor on Thursday and bad news my blood pressure went up again from the last time. So the doctor decided to do some blood work but it came back good so all he said I could do was try to not do anything. Not go shopping not do much of anything. It is kind of like bed rest but I don’t have to stay in bed maybe like house arrest. I told him it isn’t the shopping that gets my blood pressure up its Gavin! So today I tried not to do much but lay on the couch but I had done that the week before when mom and dad were here and they totally took care of Gavin for me and it still went up. However, as I lay on the couch all I get is Gavin saying I want this; I want that, play with me so I got up and we did some thank you cards which probably didn’t help my blood pressure, him with markers makes me nervous. After that he wanted a ride in the box so I did it a couple of times but I don’t like to bend over to push him and he always says “one my bime (time)” after ever time. So I convinced him to push his stuffed horse around which he liked so I watched him do that. I am so glad that is nap time and very glad he takes good naps. There is a bunch of things I need to do but I am going to be lazy and just type. I can’t wait until Grandma and Grandpa come back and help with Gavin again only 2 more weeks until they come. Hopefully they don’t do the c-section early if it is only a few days that’s ok but if it is more than that I will have to get Mike and Amy to take Gavin which I know that would be happy to do or Grandma and Grandad Parker offered to come and help also. So really, everything would be fine the main thing I am worried about is that Brody will be so early and that means little, which means he will have to eat more which means that I get less sleep. I want a nice fat baby that sleeps a lot. In a way I hope I can breast feed this time so we don’t have to pay for formula but at the same time Chris will think he gets out of helping at night because he can’t do it. Anyway after all of that I really don’t think my blood pressure will go down any he will be considered full term in a week so they could take him anytime after that.

I did Chris birthday early it is a month away but I didn’t want to do it just after the baby came or while we had company because I gave him a Playstation 3 which he was wanted for some time. Diana Parker pitched in so we could get it. But I knew as soon as he got it he would be obsessed with it for some time and I am hoping it will be out of his system before the baby comes. Anyway, I had him open it on the web came with Don and Diana and after he opened he was so antsy to go to Walmart and get the cables (because the store I went to didn’t have the HDMI cables) that while we were talking he asked if we were done talking so he could go to the store. He is such a little kid. So we got off the web cam so he could get the cable so he could play his game. So I ate dinner by myself because he had to set it up. I was however surprised because he went to bed on time I thought for sure he would be up all night playing but I guess having to wake up so early for work puts some smarts in his head. They do have some fun games for me once we have more money. Amy got a Dance, Dance Revolution game and they really like it we play it at the arcades on occasion and it is a good work out so I think I would like that. Also they have a band game that looks fun but that is kind of pricy so it will have to wait. At Mikes Birthday we went to the movies and they had the DDR so Amy and I played while we waited I don’t think it is a good game to play when you are 9 months pregnant. I was so so exhausted after playing I was glad we just had to sit there for the movie. I hope it doesn’t take me as long to lose the pregnancy weight as it did with Gavin it was 2 years before I started to feel good about my weight and then I get pregnant with Brody and gain it all back. Lets hope for just a year this time or less would be nice also. But I have not been eating good at all with Brody I just feel like eating treats and not doing anything. Well that is it for now.

He looks so sweet and innocent in the box. He doesn't look like he could be any kind of a handful during the day. But, I know from first hand experience Gavin can keep you on your toes if you want to keep up with him. I try. I don't know where he gets that tremendous energy he has.

Also, I can't believe you could write that much. That's pretty good. (This was sure a pretty interesting comment)I was just so impressed on how much was written.

Wow, i learned a lot from that post! Sounds like you need to take it easy so Brody is a chubby, full-term baby. The box picture is hilarious and very strange. Maybe Gavin felt more secure crammed up in there? That's nice you got a king bed. We might come visit now :) Happy b-day chris.
