Catch up with the Parkers

Gavin went swimming the other day and loved to use his old baby pool. I sure don’t mind it only takes a second to fill and empty. Do you like his towel he picked to use? HUGE! The whole time he was swimming he wanted me to take pictures. I think I have about 25 pictures of him swimming after a awhile I just pretended to take pictures. Then he wanted to see the pictures after each picture so I just keep showing him the old pictures I had taken. Thanks Sym for the swim short you bought for him on his last birthday they finally fit good.

Brody is doing really good with out his pacifiers. The first day was tough he cried for about an hour before he would fall asleep but now its just a couple of min. He is so cute when he sleeps. The first night I was also worried because I used to feed him and then stick the pacifier in his mouth and he would go to sleep. However, the first night he only cried for 5 min and then fell back asleep. There are other times I worried about not having a pacifier, like church to keep him quiet. But, he did wonderful today at church, fell asleep in my arms and only wined a little bit. If you ask me I think it has been easier to take it away now instead of 2 like Gavin even though it wasn’t horrible like I thought it would be. It was just a much longer process because I didn’t go cold turkey like I did with Brody. However, Gavin probably would not have made it to his 2nd birthday without that pacifier. It was the only thing to keep my sanity.

On Thursday we had Michelle Kaltaler’s kids come and play Zora and Spencer. Gavin really enjoyed playing with both of them. Today as I was getting pictures ready for the blog I noticed Gavin didn’t have pants on because he had taken them off, he had also taken off the pull up but I made him at least wear that. But I am kind of embarrassed that he isn’t wearing pants.


Look at my super cute chubby baby. I was reading on Becky’s blog and she said Colton weighed 15.9 lbs and 25” long and Brody who is 4 months younger has passed him in weight coming in at 16.2 lbs and 24” long. He is just growing so fast. Pulled out Gavin’s 6-month clothes and they are in the right season finally. So now, he lots of cute summer clothes to wear. We also weighed Gavin he is now 26.8 lbs he has gained a little probably from all the treats he has been getting to eat. But it is only 10 lbs more than Brody and 2.5 years differance in age. I was looking at my baby pictures and I was sure fat. Unlike Chris who was skinny, guess Gavin gets that from Dad and Brody gets his fat from his mom. I thought that Brody looked like me or my brothers who were also fat babies. But now I don't know he just looks like a little Brody.

Gavin is doing wonderful with potty training. After Gavin goes potty I decided because he loves my scrapbooking stamps that I would make a chart for him to stamp a truck every time he went. He gets so excited to pick the color and place of the stamp. I also would give him a treat, but lately he hasn’t cared about the treat just the stamp. He has 8 stamps so far, but I am having trouble getting Gavin to go potty when friends are over or if he has a pull up on. I guess that will come in time. I do ask him all the time if he needs to go and he gets tired of me asking but the past couple of days he will just go on the potty all by himself. YEA, YEA, YEA, YEA!! So if you were wondering my technique I heard about just letting them go around naked and it works great for Gavin he is actually getting it. He will go every time until I put a diaper, pull up or underwear on. I sure hope he learns how to go potty with underwear on or we will be stuck home forever. I think it’s funny when we go outside and I have spray on sunscreen and have to spray all over so he doesn’t get burned.

So I tried to take some new pictures of Brody and it is impossible when ever I try to get him to smile he starts talking and his pictures come out with his mouth open or tongue out. After some time I can finally get a good picture of my cute baby Brody.

The kids were having fun with the water guns. Kyler was such a good sport and got sprayed lots and didn't even have his own gun. We needed water guns that held more water they had to fill up every 2 min and everyone but Keagan needed help filling them up. Can you believe Amy is due in a week we are so excited to get another cute cousin to play with.
