Christmas this year is so fun. The boys had a great time. Now that Gavin is getting older. Chris and I have been debating all month about what we want to do about Santa. We talked about not doing Santa, doing Santa, only having him bring one gift, etc. I kind of didn't want Santa and Chris was leaning that way also. I wanted the kids to talk more about the real meaning of Christmas over Santa. Talking with Gavin and why we celebrate Christmas he wanted to have a big birthday party on Christmas with cake and pinata. I thought it was cute and talked to Chris, but he thought it still wouldn't accomplish what we wanted. We bought a bunch of Christmas videos that the church puts out and watched one a night for a few nights before Christmas. When Christmas morning came Chris told Gavin that Mom and Dad bought his presents and Santa only gets gifts for kids that don't have a mom and dad to do Christmas. So there you have it, no Santa for our kids. Gavin mentioned on Christmas that mom and dad give way better gifts than Santa.
That's right we do! A few people have asked Gavin if Santa came and he said no. With confusion they ask if he got gifts he said "yes, mom and dad gave me a way cool video game". We also got the boys a tramp that we put in the spare room. People think I am crazy, but I seriously love it inside. I don't have to worry that Brody isn't dressed or that it is hot or cold. They like me to watch and it is easier to do and get things done with it inside. All year round and will not get ruined in the Arizona heat. I have been so excited and they jump on it all the time (all day Christmas). At the very bottom is a video of they getting the tramp. Brody was so funny.

You're kids are so cute and we miss you guys! We're glad you guys are trying to teach your kids about the true meaning of Christmas. I don't know what we're going to do, but I guess we have a few years to think about it. Happy New Year to all you down there!!! Hugs!!!
