Big 27

Can you believe it? I turned 27 yesterday; I still do not even feel close to 27, except in my back. In my mind, I am still only 20; with many friends still not married, they make me feel young.

Guess I will tell you about the weekend.

Friday we went over to play with Amy and the kids. When Chris and Mike got there, Mike offered to watch the kids so we could go on a date. What a sweet brave guy!! Amy and Samantha were going to a play and he would have to take on his four kids, one being Anika almost 3 months, Gavin and Brody 6 months. Two babies he is crazy. Anyway, we went to dinner and went shopping for Gavin’s birthday present. Get back and Mike has the funniest story. I am sure I can’t tell it as good as him, but I will try.

So Mikes says he was cooking dinner and Cloie came downstairs he asks, “Where is Gavin” Cloie tells him upstairs. So Mike finishes dinner and then proceeds upstairs to find Gavin without his underwear or shorts. He asks Gavin where his shorts are Gavin tells him he does not know and he was going to find some more downstairs. Mikes like oh no, Gavin had an accident. So he is looking around and finds is shorts in Cloie’s room and then smells poop. Mike is like Great. So he is looking around and in the closet Gavin pooped in a dolls pool (I think that is what it was), anyway some container in the closet. I laughed not officially an accident he did keep his underwear dry. I asked Gavin why he didn’t use the potty and he said he pooped in the closet. Poor Mike got a Poop Present. Cloie is also potty training, two newly trained kids in underwear, scary!

Saturday
Chris takes Gavin with Mike and the Kids out so I could have a little break. I did homework, what fun. Then we went over to Mike and Amy’s to swim in the pool. Then Chris had invited over Mike, Amy and Kids, and Emily for a Birthday Party. We had a BBQ and Emily made a yummy cake and ice cream. Then we decided we wanted to play games so we sent the kids in the bedroom to watch a movie. We played Scum, but they play by different rules and I don’t like their rules. We had fun playing even with the different rules. The kids stayed up way to late got Gavin to bed, and then 20 min later he was up crying. I had forgotten to put a diaper on before he went to bed. So I had to change the sheets, Chris got Gavin washed up and back to bed. It was a fun birthday, Chris did good!

I got some fun presents from Mike, Amy and Kids, and Emily. My mom sent me a card with money, I was planning on getting a cricut cartridge. I had fun birthday songs on the answering machine from Mom, Bean and John. And Mom Parker and Sym called and sang and wished me a happy birthday. Chris got me flowers and a camara that he gave me last month so I could use on vacation. Birthdays are fun.
