The hotel beach goes around to this rock area, behind us is our hotel room. This is were we went snorkeling a couple of times. Chris loved to go snorkeling. I was not a fan, the salt water made me feel sick so I stayed on the beach and played in the sand and watched. The couple of times I did go it was fun to see the fish. We took pictures but they take a week because they are not digital. Chris also went on a shark encounter, he wouldn't let me go because they said I couldn't go being pregnant. Your in a cage not sure what the big deal is, Chris said they can smell my hormones and would go crazy, Yea Right! He said it was a blast, he took pictures of the sharks those we will have to be shared later also.
This is a picture that Megan took from her room of us on the rock.
Another view from the hotel.
This is our friends Megan and Nate that went with us on the trip. We went to the temple visitor center. We couldn't go into the temple because they closed it for maintenance.
We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center it was a long day. I loved the Ali'i Luau, the dinner was amazing. We got smoothies in a pineapple the pig was amazing. The entertainment was fun.

This was the pig we ate, yummy!
We went to Pearl Harbor one day. This was Nate's highlight of the vacation he loved being here so we let me go any place he wanted and he took a million pictures of everything. It was fun to see everything, but not a favorite of mine.
The memorial was cool place to go see.

Went on base to the museum.

These last pictures are from our last day of the trip. We checked out of the hotel at 9:00 and had until 9:00 at night went our flight left to kill time. We didn't plan on anything to do so I pulled out the tour guide the car rental place gave us to find places to go. Driving around I decided that the Historic Honolulu area in the book looked like a fun place to go.
This was Nuuanu Pali State Park view that we found on our drive the last day.

This is Iolani Palace, royal residence of Queen Emma built in 1882 last occupied in 1893.

This was the Honolulu Hale which is the city hall that they let us go in a tour. The first floor was the court that they used to use and then the upstairs is the, currently used court house. We got to sit in the old judge seat. The guy in the picture is King Kamehameha the first warrior to unite all the Hawaiian Islands.

This is what we thought was the Kawaiahao church, which was actually a burial for someone I don't remember, the Church was next door. We also went to the Mission Houses Museum, we also walked past the state library, state capital, and art museum.

Megan is obsessed with the show Dog the Bounty Hunter, there office is in Hawaii so we made a visit. They were not there, but in Colorado at the time. We did get to go to the gift shop and Megan purchased some Dog clothing. I have never seen the show and probably will never see the show, but it was fun to see her obsession. She has all the seasons on DVD who knows maybe one day I will barrow one.
We also went to the Aloha Tower and marketplace. Not that cool, but it did kill time until our flight.
Picture from the top of the tower.
That was pretty much our trip we went shopping at shops and swap meet. Eat lots of food our trip included a free buffet breakfast every morning. I ate lots of good food every morning, fresh pineapple was a must. The resort had a bunch of restaurants that we tried we also found Ted's Bakery that had great food that didn't cost a bundle, only outside eating and we did get rained on twice while eating there. I tried Thai food and it was so gross! It was nothing like Chinese and I will never eat it again. Everyone told us this place was the best Thai food ever and if that place was the best then it has no hope with me. The humidity was a killer their 80 felt hotter than AZ 100 weather. I felt like I was sweating all the time and then when we went into AC I was freezing. I hated my hair on the whole trip because it wouldn't stay straight so I went with the pony tail most the time. The state was beautiful if we ever decided to go back to Hawaii I would want to go a different island. I think I have seen all the sights I want on Oahu, maybe next time the Big Island if I can handle the flight. The flight home almost makes me never want to travel again. I didn't sleep at all and was mad at everyone that was asleep. I got to see Ice Age #3 on the plane, other than that it was torture and has taken me a week to feel rested. I never, ever want to take a flight during the night again if it can't be during the day I am not going. Well anyway besides the flight the trip was wonderful. Anyway Gavin is tired of playing alone so I got to go. I still have much more to post about the kids so I will have to find time later.
