Sick Kids

This week has been filled with sick kids. Gavin got sick first then passed it to Brody three days later. The boys handle being sick completely different. When Gavin is sick he is still as active as normal, but we add on him being extra whinny and extra annoying. When Brody is sick he just wants to be held and cuddled on the couch with a good dog movie. One morning I woke up to the kids laughing and looked in Brody's room because Gavin will usually go in and start playing with Brody. Well Brody was not in his bed. I looked around and found the boys under the kitchen table eating sour patch kids. I asked Gavin how Brody got out of his crib, his response "I taught him" next question why are you eating candy in the morning "Because it yummy". Chris got video of how Brody gets in and out of his crib. I should probably put Brody in a real bed, but I still have not figured out what to do with that situation yet. Gavin still doesn't sleep well so I don't want to put Brody in with him. I told Gavin that Brody would start sleeping with him when he stays in his bed with the light off and now Gavin does not want Brody to sleep with him because he is afraid of the dark.

So yesterday when Brody was sick I was trying to make some dinner and Brody wanted to be held on the couch. I told him to go lay on the couch and wait for me. After some time I went to check on him and he wasn't there. I looked around the house and found him asleep in his bed. Then when it comes to night he wants to sleep in your arms on the couch and gets mad when you finally put him in his bed. Sick kids makes me extra tired.

You're so funny Helena. I love how you just write stuff how it is--no fluff. Sorry about your sick kids. Hopefully they can sleep together in the same room soon. Is that cute girl bedding I see in the video??? If it's brown and pink, I'm gonna be jealous!!!

Colton is afraid of the dark also, so he sleeps with a night light. It's much nicer, he goes right to bed no problems. Cute boys, I can't wait to see them.
