One of my callings is on the ward activity committee. I thought the ward Christmas party turned out wonderful. It was not the usual ward Christmas parties and a little nervous if it would work out. The committee decided to do a service
Christmas party. I took my camera in hopes of getting pictures, but I only got a couple and then took some of the boys with the projects later. It started at 8:00 in the morning we had breakfast and then everyone split up to do different projects. I believe they had five groups go to different ward members houses to do service. They hung
Christmas lights, changed sprinkler heads, cleaned dog
kennel's, cleaned a home, and landscaping. Another group took turkeys to inactive families in the ward to remind them we were thinking about them. They had a huge toy drive that they gift wrapped, I was amazed how much was donated. I believe they are going to ward members families who are out of jobs, not
positive. I was in charge of the humanitarian craft. We had the kids and adults make gecko bead toys and the baby bell blocks. The kids loved the projects and a few of the parents really got into making them (I think a few liked them more than the kids). They had a nursery which was so nice for me, not being able to watch the kids. They did packages for the missionaries in the ward making cards and different things. Brody and Gavin each made a
reindeer puppet that they love that turned out so cute. They got to take those home. I was so happy with how many ward members came to participate. They did a slideshow and had pictures of ward members at all the different projects. It was amazing.

Sorry this is not the Christmas party but just a random picture. Which do you think is warmer long sleeves or short sleeves? Well for Brody short sleeves are warmer. When he wears long sleeves he is able to pull his arms out and stick them through the neck of the shirt. Then he proceeds to pull it down past his belly.
He has a much longer attention span than Gavin. He enjoys doing puzzles and does them longer than Gavin will do them, even now. These two boys are so different it is so fun to have the different personalities.

On another side not Gavin hates wearing pants. The only time he wears pants is when we are doing an outside activity and I tell him he is not allowed to go unless he puts on pants. Then as soon as he gets home he changes back into shorts. He doesn't complain about being cold so I let him wear shorts pretty much everyday. Oh and the vests sweaters that people wear to church he thinks it's a jacket. He asks to wear his red jacket aka vest when we go outside. I think this kid is crazy, he is outside in the cold in shorts and short sleeves, but wearing a vest. I need to take a picture he looks so funny. I have have Brody and I in long pants, long sleeves and jackets.

OUr tree is exactly 8ft.The very top of the tree hits our ceiling. We got it on sale a couple of years ago from Target after Christmas. I am so excited that you are having a girl! Yeah. I like the proposed names for a girl--good luck---I like Madison the best, but of course that is my opinion. lol Jen
Congrats on a girl. I hope you don't go broke buying the cute clothes they have for girls. :)
I was so appreciative for all the hard work that was done on our front and back yard. I still feel so blessed.
What a good idea! We're gonna have to do that next year. I love it. It totally gets people into the spirit of the season.
I'm glad you got your girl. I hope that. I think that is the best Christmas party ever. I think I already told you. love the picture of Brody and the reindeer.
