Christmas Fun

This Christmas was really fun and I think that the boys enjoyed the day. When we were putting out the gifts Christmas eve night I was worried that we were lame parents because we only got the boys two gifts and Chris and I only bought a game (Ticket to Ride) for our gift so it didn't look like much. Looking back it was perfect the boys only got what they really wanted and no filler gifts that they wouldn't play with. So you will get to see every gift they got and see our fun day. Grandma and Grandpa came over Christmas Eve made dinner for us and spent all Christmas Day playing games and eating.
Brody has an obsession with dogs. He doesn't want to touch them, but loves to see them from a distance. He plays with stuffed animals and puts leashes on them to take them for walks. He loved his stuffed dog we put in his stocking.
These airplane candy cane stocking suffers are a big hit. The boys love playing with them. They also eat lots and lots of treats all day long. Gavin wondered why his stomach hurt. Gavin got a scooter. This is what he said he wanted a couple months ago before he changed his mind. We didn't wrap it and just put it out. When he saw the scooter he got a little attitude. "I told Santa I wanted a track airplane instead." We need to work on being greateful. His other present was the track airplane.
We went for a walk around the block on Christmas. Gavin was riding the scooter. We went about two houses and then Gavin started to carry it. He was talking about how strong he was then he said "Grandpa do you want to see how strong you are?" He was tired, Chris ended up carrying it around the whole block except the last two house he finally decided to ride.

This is the track airplane he wanted.
Brody got a new train. The other trains we own get used so much the remote doesn't work as good. Now he has one that actually stops and goes on command.
This is the Geo tracks all set up with everything we have. We set this huge set up at least 4 times a week.
This is Brody mad because he isn't able to ride Gavin's scooter, he likes to be pushed around while standing on it.
We played games all Christmas Eve and Day. We also bought grandma and grandpa the game Ticket to Ride. My mom and I played probably ten times in the two days. We got the boys to play a few games with us. Not to brag but I probably won most the games. I also bought and wrapped the game Snorta that Brody got for the adults. That was a fun animal sound game that we played.
We bought Gavin the game Hisss. It was a fun game even if Gavin doesn't look like he is having fun. Gavin is working on rules.
The cousins came over Christmas Eve. Gavin had picked out Play-doh for the girls and cars for the boys. He wrapped them himself. I should have taken a picture because he did a great job and you wouldn't be able to tell what it was by the wrapping. Grandma and Grandpa bought the boys a basketball hoop that they opened Christmas Eve to play with.
Grandpa and Chris setting up the hoop.
Next year Grandpa says he is getting the boys a refrigerator box. The boxes are always the most fun.

My parents bought Chris and I a Kitchen Food Chopper and gave us some cash. Chris took the cash and said the chopper was mine. I said the chopper is for both of us because he has to cook also.

Chris' parents are coming to visit in 3 weeks, which is a gift in itself, but they are bring us gifts then so we will get two Christmas' next year.

You're just like me with the two presents :) Every time I look at toys at the store, I imagine picking them all up off the floor, so my kids didn't get too many either :) I'm getting Kaleb a scooter for his birthday. We'll see if he carries it like Gavin or actually rides it :)

It looks like you had fun this year! We got a 'big gift' and a small one and then stocking stuffers so it was small too. But they didn't know it! Abby got a Baby Alive, Tyler got a batman castle and Benji got a car that moves by battery(ty likes it more then benji, but benji will grow to like it more as time goes)! Talk soon,
Jen
