Mothers Day Weekend

Chris was the Top Performers for University of Phoenix in his division. Only 8% were invited to the Marriott Resort in Phoenix. Chris surprised me on Thursday night when his mom showed up at the house. I was in shock didn’t know what she was doing here. Thought she decided to see Anika. Then Chris told me that he invited her to watch the kids so we could have a mini vacation. What a wonderful surprise! We got at the resort at 6:30 in the morning to check in glad we did by 7:30 the line was huge and people were not able to get a room until after 12:00. Chris had meetings from 9-12 so I went to the pools to enjoy the sun. I was kind of sad because I didn’t think I would get a tan because it was so cloudy. Chris came to the pool later and we floated the lazy river did a little shopping. Well needless to stay I was burned badly on my chest, shoulders and thighs the places that never see the sun. Then Chris had a meeting at 6:00-6:30 after we meet up with Emily and Corey went to dinner to On The Boarder, after they had karaoke and DJ we stayed and talked to people for a little while then went swimming and to the hot tub after. The room was amazing and the bed was so nice. There was bunny’s everywhere and ducks. When we first got there, I was wishing the kids were there because there was so much for Gavin to do I thought he would have fun. Then when I was relaxing and didn’t have to chase Gavin to keep him from breaking everything I really started to enjoy not having kids for the day. Besides, he was probably having just as much fun or more with Grammy. From what Grammy told us the kids were great and she enjoyed spending time with Gavin and talking and laughing with Brody. Diana is going to stay until Monday then we will see her again June for Anika’s blessing. What a fun weekend I could really start enjoying that lifestyle.
