Stress from Last Week

It has been a little time from the last time I wrote. No excuse but this has been what my last week has looked like. Gavin got a bug and has been sick for around 4-5 days thrown up a couple times with a high fever. He is very nasty mean little boy when he is sick. Sent to his room many times I got tired of him wining all the time. For example, I want this to eat you give it to him then he wines because he does not want that he wants something else. Let’s just say I let him watch more movies than I would like when he is sick to keep my sanity. Then we had a group project these last couple of weeks in class. I really hate group projects, I believe that this is the worst group I can have in my next 3 years of school. I sure hope it can’t get worse. I tried very hard to stay professional and not call one girl a nasty name. After some mean conversations between two group members I found out I was the only group member born in the United States. I am sure that doesn’t help having different backgrounds. Today I had to edit our paper for the group very hard to do when they do not speak very good English and English is not my best subject. Today was the final day for the paper so as long as everyone is ok with all my changes and one particular person does not yell at me for changing her words we will get it turned in today. Then one last group project after next week and then I am done with this group. Let me just say I have wanted to quit school this week but have made it through my third week with lots of stress, a supportive husband and a cute Brody to make me remember why I am doing this. Gavin did not help the situation by being sick. Last night was not fun Gavin has been coming into our bed at night I put him back in bed one time and Chris sent him back to bed at least 5 times. He is going to get to sleep in bed with us while the Parkers are here and will probably have a bad habit to break after they leave. We are already having a hard time keeping him in his room. Especially because those child door locks do not keep Gavin out. I wouldn’t mind so much if he didn’t have to always be right next to you, he always has to touch you when he sleeps. I need my space that is why we got a king size bed.

We are having the joy of Don and Diana, Beverly, John & Carolyn, Becky, Matt & Colton staying the weekend with us to see Anika’s blessing. It will be a full house, at least the air conditioner works now. I have a feeling the ones from Utah will think it is hot in our house even with the air on. It is funny because we thought no one was coming for another week, Surprise! We figured it out yesterday that it was this weekend. We just have to arrange bedrooms so the air mattress fit I am a little worried about Brody’s room with the toy shelf. But if it doesn’t work they can sleep in the family room. Clean house and get some food. Brody has his well check appointment this week it has been nice having Chris home for Memorial Day I would have been really stressed getting the house cleaned without him.
